MY SPECIALTIES

ART THERAPY

Sometimes words are hard to find and don't fully explain the depth of our experiences. Image making allows for those thoughts and feelings to be explored without words and can provide a rich therapeutic experience for those who may struggle with verbal communication or social interactions.

ANXIETY

Your anxiety is there as a survival skill but sometimes it needs to back off and stop being a backseat driver. Therapy can help get all the anxious thoughts from bouncing around in your noggin out into the world and into a more easily processed object.

INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING

For more in-depth exploration of experiences, or those who need practice with social interactions, Individual counseling provides the opportunity to explore thoughts and feelings in a 1:1 environment.

SUPERVISION

Working toward your next level as a therapist? I offer Supervision for PLPCs working for licensure in Missouri as well as Art Therapists pursuing their ATR credential.

Individual and Group Supervision options available.

DEPRESSION & POOR SELF-ESTEEM

Do you ever feel unseen or unheard? Like your screaming for help but no one hears you? Sometimes you think you're the problem. Depression manipulates us and makes life feel so difficult and unmanageable.

Therapy can give you a new outlet to try processing those difficult emotions. And when they're too big to handle out loud, we can art it out. Explore characters and how they've processed depression and come out in a better place.

What have you got to lose?

STRESS & TRAUMA
SOCIAL ANXIETY

Do people stress you out? Does the thought of having to call someone on the phone, or go to a big gathering make you feel anxious?

Same.

Practice in 1:1 settings then graduating to groups can help with overcoming social anxiety. It helps when you find like-minded people.

Have you ever been to a convention? A bunch of introverts with similar interests get together and suddenly are the liveliest most talkative bunch you've ever seen.

A little bit of stress is a good thing. It helps you grow. It can become overwhelming at times, though, and it's okay to seek support. Chronic stress or really big stressors can lead to trauma and escalate to a difficult monster to handle on your own.

A little bit of stress is like those low-level enemies that are annoying but help you build XP. Trauma is the boss battle. Sometimes you need a second player or supporting character to help you out.
