When I went hiking to see The Devil's Icebox, I entered the park, selected a parking area with a trailhead, and went on my way to this amazing attraction.
Imagine my surprise when I get there just to find there was a parking lot and trailhead RIGHT NEXT to the Devil's Icebox. Even one coming from the opposite direction of me! All of those miles and I could have just walked out of my car directly to the cave.
Like our goals in life, there are many paths. Others will take a different path that may be shorter, longer, more or less scenic. You can only do what you can with the knowledge you have when you start. But you all still reach the same finish line. The lessons you learn, the sites and people you'll see, and the skills you build along the way will follow you and make your experience special and only yours.
Falling into the comparison trap is easy. Getting bogged down by the setbacks and roadblocks is easy.
Telling yourself you're not good enough or can't do it is easy.
But it's important to remember that "there is more than one path to the top of the mountain."
Revel in the steps you take on your path.
